About Arcanum
Arcanum is an encrypted container manager for Android that creates and mounts VeraCrypt-compatible volumes. Your files are protected with military-grade encryption and remain accessible only to you.
Key Features
• VeraCrypt-compatible — containers work on desktop too (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• AES-256, Twofish, Serpent and cascade ciphers
• Multiple hash algorithms: SHA-512, SHA-256, Whirlpool, Streebog, BLAKE2s-256
• Hidden volumes for plausible deniability
• Keyfile support
• Biometric unlock (fingerprint / face)
Privacy & Security
• Disguise mode — app appears as a plain calculator on the home screen
• Panic PIN — instantly wipes sensitive data and resets the app
• Auto-lock when the app goes to the background
• PIN protected with Argon2id key derivation
• No network access, no analytics, no telemetry
• All data stays on your device
Open Source
Arcanum is fully open source. The cryptographic implementation is based on the VeraCrypt codebase. You can review, audit, and build the app yourself.
This is the F-Droid build: all features are included, no payments required.
