BikeRoutePlanner

BikeRoutePlanner calculates bike routes using the bbbike routing service, shows the key

figures for them, and hands the route to a map or navigation app as a GPX track.

Features

* Routes over any number of waypoints. Set start, stops, and destination by address search,

map, current location, contacts, or saved favourites.

* One button reverses the order for the return trip.

* All bbbike route preferences: category, surface quality, green routes, speed, traffic

lights, ferries, unlit ways, and travelling with a trailer or a child seat. Preferences

can be stored as named profiles.

* Route statistics: length, number of traffic lights, and bbbike's travel time at 10, 15,

20, and 25 km/h.

* Events on the route: closures, roadworks, and markets that affect it. On request the app

calculates an alternative route around them. These reports exist for Berlin only, because

that is the only place bbbike keeps them.

* In-app map showing the calculated route and your own position.

* Navigation directly in OsmAnd, or sharing the GPX file with any map app.

* Interface in German and English; light, dark, colourful, and system themes.

Data sources

Routes come from the official bbbike interface, address search from OpenStreetMap

Nominatim, map tiles from OpenTopoMap. The events come from www.bbbike.de.

Privacy

The app needs no account and sends no usage data. Addresses and coordinates go only to the

services named above, so that the route can be calculated. Favourites, profiles, and

settings stay on the device.
