About BookOrbit

BookOrbit is a native Android client for your own self-hosted BookOrbit

server — a personal library for ebooks and audiobooks that you control.

BookOrbit does not host any content itself. Point the app at your own

BookOrbit server and get a fast, native way to browse, read, and listen

to your library on your phone or tablet.

FEATURES

• Sign in with username and password or your OIDC provider

• Browse and search your full library, with smart scopes and collections

• Author and series pages

• Built-in ebook reader (EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, FB2, CBZ) and PDF reader, with progress synced to your server

• Audiobook player with background playback, sleep timer, Chromecast and Android Auto

• Download books for offline reading and listening

• Upload and review new books with Book Drop

• Your data stays on your server — no ads, no tracking, no analytics

REQUIREMENTS

You need access to a running BookOrbit server to use this app. The app

does not provide or host a server.

How to install BookOrbit

  1. Tap Download — the app's official page on F-Droid opens.
  2. Install it with the F-Droid app (recommended, for automatic updates), or use the download button on that page.
  3. If Android asks, allow the F-Droid app or your browser to install apps, then tap Install.
  4. Open BookOrbit from your app drawer.
