About Freqcast

Freqcast is a modern internet radio player that finds streams from station websites, so you don't have to hunt for a .mp3, .aac, or .m3u8 URL yourself.

Paste a station's website link and Freqcast checks Radio Browser, then scans the site itself, discovers a playable stream, verifies that it works, and adds it to your library.

Features:

- Paste a station website instead of hunting for a stream URL — Freqcast automatically discovers and verifies the playable stream whenever possible

- Discover stations — search the Radio Browser directory by name, genre, country, language, or "near me", and add results straight to your library

- Background playback with automatic reconnect

- Timeshift (rewind) for compatible streams, and export the last few minutes as a shareable audio clip (MP3/AAC streams)

- Live ICY metadata

- Sleep timer and multiple wake-up alarms

- Home screen widget and Android Auto support

- Play or stop a saved station via Gemini and other AI assistants (Android 16+)

- Starts you off with a handful of curated stations

- Drag to reorder your station list

- Import/export station lists (JSON, OPML, M3U, PLS)

- Tablet and foldable layouts

- Localized into English, Russian, Spanish and Simplified Chinese

Freqcast is fully local, requires no account, shows no ads, and doesn't depend on a proprietary station catalog. It works with standard HTTP/HTTPS streams and HLS.

What's new in 3.17.1

Curated stations are now read-only: swipe one to share or delete it. Want your own take on one? Delete it and add the station yourself — Settings → "Restore curated stations" brings the originals back anytime.
