About Guileless Bopomofo Keyboard

Hello, it's me, Guileless Bopomofo Keyboard.

I have implemented most features of libchewing (https://chewing.im/), to provide you a choice of Bopomofo software keyboard (aka input method editor).

* Unlike other similar products, though I don't have fuzzy, error-tolerance design, I do still have ability to predict possible phrases by context, and I do remember phrases from your typing history automatically.

* Besides the most common "DaChen", I also provide you "Hsu", "E-Ten 26 keys", and "DaChen CP26" Bopomofo keyboard layouts.

* I also support physical keyboard input with the same layout options, so you can use a consistent Bopomofo experience across virtual and hardware keyboards.

What's new in 5.1.0

Hi there! Guileless Bopomofo 5.1.0 can now guess your next English word. * New optional next-word prediction: with English word prediction on, turn it on in General settings, and after each space I suggest the words that most often come next. Tap one and I suggest the word after it. The suggestions come from Simple English Wikipedia, so they suit plain writing more than chatting. Nothing you type is stored. Thanks for using Guileless Bopomofo!

How to install Guileless Bopomofo Keyboard

  1. Tap Download — the app's official page on F-Droid opens.
  2. Install it with the F-Droid app (recommended, for automatic updates), or use the download button on that page.
  3. If Android asks, allow the F-Droid app or your browser to install apps, then tap Install.
  4. Open Guileless Bopomofo Keyboard from your app drawer.
