JMdict droid

A Japanese to English dictionary, based on JMdict.

About JMdict droid

Search for English definition of Japanese words using kanji, kana or rōmaji. Search for Japanese words from their English definition.

Basic wildcards are supported, to search for incomplete words, words ending with a specific kanji, etc.

JMdict data is not included in the APK. It must be downloaded (or loaded from a file) from the application first.

Afterwards, the application is completely standalone and can be used offline.

JMdict is provided by Electronic Dictionaries Research Group. See https://www.edrdg.org/

Tap Download — the app's official page on F-Droid opens.
Install it with the F-Droid app (recommended, for automatic updates), or use the download button on that page.
If Android asks, allow the F-Droid app or your browser to install apps, then tap Install.
Open JMdict droid from your app drawer.
