About Karabau

Karabau is an open-source Android client for Karakeep, built entirely with Jetpack Compose.

Use it to keep your bookmarks in one place, with a native mobile experience focused on speed and simplicity.

Features:

- Browse your complete bookmark feed

- Search bookmarks quickly

- Manage tags and lists

- Open bookmark details with quick actions (share, favorite, archive, delete)

- Save links directly from Android share/process text flows

- Secure credential storage on device

Karabau connects to your own Karakeep server and helps you organize links from anywhere.

Minimum Android version: 12 (API 31)

License: GPL-3.0

What's new in 1.4.2

Version 1.4.2 - Added custom headers management for API requests, accessible from the Add Server screen and Settings - Added support for insecure HTTP servers (no SSL) with a confirmation dialog, useful for local self-hosted servers - Fixed bottom action buttons being overlapped by the system navigation bar

How to install Karabau

  1. Tap Download — the app's official page on F-Droid opens.
  2. Install it with the F-Droid app (recommended, for automatic updates), or use the download button on that page.
  3. If Android asks, allow the F-Droid app or your browser to install apps, then tap Install.
  4. Open Karabau from your app drawer.
