About Mars Live Wallpaper
A live wallpaper featuring Mars, Earth and the Moon in HD, slowly turning in front of our own Milky Way galaxy. It is designed to look excellent yet truthful: the planets are real NASA-based surface maps, lit and rendered as true spheres.
No special permissions are required. No ads, no tracking, no network access.
Features
Five worlds: Mars, Earth, Earth at night (city lights), the Moon and Pluto
High-resolution textures mapped onto a sphere with limb darkening, axial tilt and lighting
Per-planet atmosphere glow with adjustable density
Adjustable rotation speed (or stop it entirely) and planet size
Optional parallax: the planet reacts when you swipe between homescreens
Live preview in the settings; drag sideways to spin the planet by hand
Native OpenGL ES 2.0 renderer
Setting the wallpaper
Open the app and tap Set Wallpaper , then Set wallpaper in the system preview and choose home screen, lock screen or both. You can also long-press an empty spot on the homescreen and choose Wallpapers → Live wallpapers ; some devices do this through the Android Settings app instead.
Textures: NASA (public domain) and Solar System Scope (CC BY 4.0). See CREDITS.md in the source repository.
