About OpenVine
OpenVine is a camera app inspired by the mechanics of the classic Vine application. It allows you to create short, looping videos with ease.
Features:
The app records only while you keep the big red button pressed.
You can release the button to change angles or scenes. Once you have recorded a total of 6 seconds, the app automatically stitches all the clips together into a single video file.
This is purely a camera utility. There is no external server, no account login, and no cloud tracking.
Videos are stored locally on your device. You can easily forward them to instant messengers, email, or social networks using the built-in Android share functionality.
Artistic effects:
The selfie camera may record upside-down on certain devices. This is definitely not a bug but an artistic choice. If you do not want to record upside down, rotate your phone by 180 degrees before recording selfies.
How to install OpenVine
- Tap Download — the app's official page on F-Droid opens.
- Install it with the F-Droid app (recommended, for automatic updates), or use the download button on that page.
- If Android asks, allow the F-Droid app or your browser to install apps, then tap Install.
- Open OpenVine from your app drawer.
