About Pinpoint - Personal POI Mapping
Pinpoint is a free, privacy-preserving and open-source app to map things/points of interest in your surroundings and around the globe. Each entry can have a location, an image, a description and a date plus time. Entries can be grouped into lists and viewed in a list or on a map.
The camera permission is used exclusively for taking photos to attach to your locations and the app requires internet access to fetch map tiles from your configured provider (OpenStreetMap by default).
What's new in 1.1.1
- Support image metadata - Custom map tile providers & tile caching - Major location service overhaul - Fixed marker pin offset - Added update check on startup & startup page setting - Share functionality - Fixed delay when adding entries with pictures - Cleaned up UI - Fixed help page links - Fixed reproducible builds for F-Droid - Dependency updates, bug fixes & refactoring
