About TalkBack

TalkBack is an Accessibility Service that helps blind and vision-impaired users

interact with their devices more easily.

This application adds spoken, audible, and vibration feedback to your device.

It comes pre-installed on many devices so you won't be able to install this if

that is the case.

It's only activated if you explicitly turn on Accessibility:

Go to Settings

Select Accessibility

Enable TalkBack checkboxes

For Android older then 8.0 use version 5.0.7_aosp.

For Android newer then 8.0 use version 2021-04-23.

How to install TalkBack

  1. Tap Download — the app's official page on F-Droid opens.
  2. Install it with the F-Droid app (recommended, for automatic updates), or use the download button on that page.
  3. If Android asks, allow the F-Droid app or your browser to install apps, then tap Install.
  4. Open TalkBack from your app drawer.
