About Zanshin Calendar

Zanshin Calendar shows one day at a time in the Tibetan calendar or in the old Japanese calendar (旧暦), with the almanac readings that belong to that day, and sunrise, solar noon and sunset for your place. A meditation timer and a mindfulness bell come with it.

Tibetan calendar, Phugpa (ཕུག་པ, phug pa)

Lunar day, month and year, with skipped and doubled days and leap months

Festivals: Losar (ལོ་གསར, lo gsar), Chötrul Düchen (ཆོ་འཕྲུལ་དུས་ཆེན, cho 'phrul dus chen), Saga Dawa Düchen (ས་ག་ཟླ་བའི་དུས་ཆེན, sa ga zla ba'i dus chen), Chökhor Düchen (ཆོས་འཁོར་དུས་ཆེན, chos 'khor dus chen), Lhabab Düchen (ལྷ་བབས་དུས་ཆེན, lha babs dus chen) and others

Monthly observances on the 8th, 10th, 15th, 25th and 30th

Lunar mansion, yoga and karaṇa, the element pair of weekday and mansion, the lunar-day animal, trigram and number

What changes within the day, as the almanac of the White Beryl (བཻཌཱུར་དཀར་པོ, bai DUr dkar po) writes it: a second mansion, a skipped yoga and the span of Viṣṭi, each with its time

The date's mewa (སྨེ་བ, sme ba), with what the activity lists name it good or bad for, and the twelve links (རྟེན་འབྲེལ, rten 'brel) counted from the month's middle term, each day's link with its works, directions and remedy

The hundred feet (རྐང་བརྒྱ, rkang brgya): the fangs of the moon, the sun, the five planets and Rāhu on your birth mansion, and the spear and great spear on the moon's mansion

What the almanac writes at the head of each month: whether it is long or short, the planet that rises, the black months, the seven days of the sage (དྲང་སྲོང, drang srong) and of the pig, and the comet its count marks

Lunar and solar eclipses as the almanac reckons them, by the karaṇa reckoning (བྱེད་རྩིས, byed rtsis) of the Kālacakra (དུས་འཁོར, dus 'khor), on their day, with the merit they multiply

The readings of the lunar mansion, date, weekday, yoga, karaṇa and trigram, the special days, Rāhu's course, the earth lords and the direction of the astrologer spirit (བླ་མཁྱེན, bla mkhyen)

A day in brief, weighed as the texts rank their factors: the hours above the day, what the activity lists name good or to avoid, the day's tone and the one factor that decides it

Choose a day: the best days for a work over one to twelve months, ranked as the texts weigh them, with its good hours in each month

Good and bad days and hours for cutting hair, and personal days for your birth year

Health: what falling ill today means by the date, the weekday, the link and the goddess of the day; where the la, the life-spirit (བླ, bla), sits today and through the day; the day's mansion for your element and the medical works of the day; and the humours and seasons of the Four Tantras (རྒྱུད་བཞི, rgyud bzhi) of medicine. The readings of the tradition, not medical advice

A round dial of the hours: the combination period of each hour, Jupiter's nectar periods, the earth lords of the hour, the black hours, what each hour is good for, the four rough times of the sun and the works an hour turns against the day

The four aspects of the year (vitality, body, destiny, luck) and, for your birth year, the personal mansions and the white and black pebbles of the year, month, day and each hour

Reckonings, a section of their own: your year of age, year by year, by the elemental divination of the White Beryl: the mewa (སྨེ་བ, sme ba), trigram (སྤར་ཁ, spar kha) and progressed sign (ལོག་མེན, log men) of the year, its twenty-four pebbles with their predictions, growth and decline, and the obstacle years, each with its reading; with the relatives you enter for a person, the natal trigram (སྐྱེས་སྤར, skyes spar) and the obstacles a spouse, a parent or a son brings

Old Japanese calendar (旧暦, Tenpō rules)

Month and day, rokuyō (六曜), the current solar term (二十四節気) and the moon phase

The twelve stations (十二

What's new in 2.6

Four themes in Settings: Ink, Paper (light), Night (black) and the phone's setting. Health: illness, the la, the life-spirit (བླ, bla), and your element on a screen of their own. Reckonings: the year of age, year by year, with the natal trigram and the obstacles relatives bring; each person keeps their relatives. Haircuts by the hour. More from the White Beryl (བཻཌཱུར་དཀར་པོ, bai DUr dkar po). Menu groups fold.
